Interface & Usage

When a recording is loaded, the player shows the whole flow of the conversation on a single stage. The sections of the interface and the keyboard shortcuts are described below.

Views

• All (default) — The whole conversation is combined on a single stage: the screen share fills the stage and the cameras ride on top of it as small picture-in-picture windows in the bottom right. If there is no screen share, the cameras are laid out side by side (stacked on narrow/mobile screens). Every enabled audio track is heard together.
• Single source — When a single video is selected (e.g. only the screen or only one camera), that view fills the stage and the others are hidden.
• Audio only — During moments with no video, an audio waveform appears on the stage; audio keeps playing without interruption.

Source picker

The layers button on the bottom bar opens a menu upwards. From there you can:

• return to the combined view with All,
• bring a single video to the front so it fills the stage,
• toggle audio tracks on and off individually (the enabled ones are heard together),
• add a new .webm file to the stage with Add.

The menu's header — its title and the Add button — can be hidden with the showSourcesHeader option, leaving only the sources your page supplies playable.

Playback controls

The bottom bar provides:

• Play / Pause
• Progress bar — every video on the stage spans a coloured lane showing when it was recorded; hovering reveals the time along with the sources (video and audio) live at that moment, and clicking jumps there.
• Speed — 1× / 2× / 4× (audio is scaled along with the speed).
• Fullscreen — In fullscreen the controls hide automatically when the mouse stops moving.

Starting playback

Browsers do not let sound start before the visitor interacts with the page. If a recording is mounted before any interaction, the player waits at the first frame with a “Press ▶ to start playback” note instead of starting on its own.
